7: Divi Library
In this week’s episode, we discuss the Divi Library and the power it brings to the Divi Theme.
What’s up Divi addicts? Welcome to this week’s episode. This is episode number seven and we’re talking about a feature that’s been in Divi for a while. It’s one of my favorites. It’s very near and dear to my heart and that’s the Divi library. So let’s hop right into today’s episode. So today is all about the Divi library and and this is one of those features that it’s it’s impossible not to love because this has changed the game for Divi itself, definitely for the way we build right, saving sections, saving rows, saving modules, saving entire pages, and ultimately creating layout packs just from this one awesome feature the Divi library.
So for those of you who aren’t familiar with the Divi library is basically like one big custom post like custom post type section. So it’s an additional section inside of Divi that comes along with it. And if you’re not using this to its fullest, and you’re way behind the times you got it we got to get you on this on this Divi library. So a lot what a lot of people are doing these days is moving from a Child Theme set up to layout packs and layout packs is so easy because you can go into the Divi library after you’ve saved or design your stuff in Divi Builder, save it to the Divi library, pick the pages that you saved, and export those directly from the Divi library, create a zip file and put it on your site, you’re ready to go you can you can trade share, sell, giveaway, whatever you want to do with those layout packs, because it’s yours. So it’s really freaking cool. It’s really easy to export. And there’s no need for additional functions a different CSS, no need for anything additional with a child theme whenever you’re building everything inside of the Visual builders. So it definitely gives a whole nother option of ways to operate and Divi.
And so my absolute favorite thing about the library is the flexibility and being able to set those global those global modules, save those and drop them in the new pages that makes building sites and really growing platforms or growing a layout pack inside of Divi extremely, extremely easy. Much easier than most other systems, you know, maybe Elementor might be one where you can do something very similar, but I think Divi does what they do the absolute best. So this one was meant to be a very short episode and just quickly talking about the Divi library. And if you’re not familiar enough with it, please take the time watch videos on YouTube. Learn about the Divi library because it will change the way you operate your business. If you’re doing freelance inside of Divi, and if you’re just having fun in Divi, it’ll still change the way you build and design because it makes life a lot easier.
We knew that today’s episode would be a quick one. It’s like I get in there, a couple quick jabs and we’re out. But that was by design. The Divi library is an amazing feature, but it’s also one that people know about. So we wanted to touch on it, we wanted to bring it to light that if you don’t use that you definitely need to get into the Divi library game. But with that said, we want to transition into what next week’s and the following episode is probably going to look like you know, we want your feedback.
